Thanks to ISA support
Around 3,000 children from 18 communities of Leon and Chinandega received school packages consisting of a knapsack, four notebooks, two pencils and a couple of pens. The total investment was 350,000 cordobas.
Norman Meza, director of social responsibility at ISA, said they always support the poorest communities, looking for a benefit, in this case education in Nicaragua.

"We are strengthening the communities. Today we have 3,000 children who are going to be benefitted in 18 communities of the western region. We feel very satisfied when we see that children are moving ahead as they will be great people for Nicaragua in the future", said Meza.

Reyna del Carmen Perez, a 14-year old who lives in the Abangasca Central region located 7 kilometers from Leon, said that "with the knapsack they gave me, my parents will no longer have to buy me a knapsack, notebook and pencil.

OTHER PROJECTS
A census was taken in the town of Sutiaba and in the communities to ensure a good organization so that each child received a school package.

In the town of Sutiaba, 500 school packages were distributed and the remaining school packages were later distributed in the different communities of Leon and Chinandega.

This year ISA is planning to build three schools in the town of Sutiaba in Leon, besides supporting the construction of wells and distribution of food in the communities, among others.
